We had the pleasure of organizing the thematic day dedicated to ”Candida & Invasive Candidiasis: diagnosis, antifungal susceptibility, Candida-host interaction” which was held with great success on October 7, 2022 in Lyon. More than 50 people were present and/or connected. wz would like to thank the Lyon team for their welcome and in particular Florence Persat and Martine Wallon, as well as Boualem Sendid and Frédéric Dalle for the organisation.
We can congratulate the happy winners of the prizes for the best oral communication Alexis TRECOURT from Lyon for his presentation “Integrated fungal histomolecular diagnosis: the example of invasive candidiasis” and Rogatien CHARLET, from Inserm unit U1285- CNRS UMR 8576 from Lille for his presentation on the “Role of the intestinal microbiota in the digestive clearance of Candida glabrata” (sfmm-mycologie-medicale.com/awards/). The jury made up of members of the SFMM board and certain participants noted the excellence of the presentations and could not decide between the two winners, resulting in this fact two rewards.
