Happy new year 2022!
Rédigé le 06/07/2022
Dear colleagues, dear friends,
Despite this month of January still dominated by the virus, the oboard of the French Society of Medical Mycology (SFMM) wishes you all a happy new year 2022, which we hope will be marked by both personal and professional success.
In the upcoming months, great adventures await our community of medical mycologists with several appointments already scheduled: the Franco-Belgian days of medical mycology on March 31 – April 1 in Ghent, the SFMM congress coupled with that of the SFP on June 21-23 in Rouen, and the 2nd thematic day of Therapeutic Pharmacology and Medical Mycology scheduled for November 15 (date to be confirmed). Likewise, one or two thematic days are also looming, as well as specific sessions at JNI congress (Bordeaux, June 15-17), at the SFM congress (Montpellier, September 23) and at the RICAI (Paris, December). We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the FEBS (Colle sur Loup, May 14-20) and ISHAM (New Delhi, India, September 20-24) congresses.
We will also schedule joint webinars with the French Society of Microbiology (SFM) on fungal themes. The subjects and dates are currently being discussed. By the way, SFMM-info will keep you posted in real time! The SFMM website (https://sfmm-mycologie-medicale.com) and SFMM-info will also continue to work together to send you all the useful information concerning these national and international events involving directly or indirectly our Society.
Finally, you only have a few days left to go find your most spectacular images of fungi in order to participate in the competition for the most beautiful photo (rules on the SFMM website) whose winning photo will be the cover of our journal Journal of Medical Mycology. The journal is doing well, its impact factor increased in 2021 to 2.39, thanks to the collaborative work of our three editors-in-chief (https://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-medical -mycology).
We renew our best wishes to you for the coming year!
